Childrens and Young Adult Programs
Kids Corner is an area of the each library just for children from infants through 11. Books and other materials in this section have been specially chosen for age appropriate reading. The below book guide can assist you in choosing the right book for your child. Check out your local library for more children’s programs and events.
- Easy Fiction~Board books for ages birth to 18 months and picture books for two to six year olds. "Clifford" and "Arthur" are two favorites in this area.
- Easy Readers~Picture books and short chapter books written especially for beginning readers. "Frog and Toad" and "Henry and Mudge" can be found here.
- Easy Non-Fiction~True books for ages 3 to 8. Want a book on fire trucks or bears? This is a good place to start.
- Juvenile Fiction~"Harry Potter" and "Junie B. Jones" live here. These are great stories and include mysteries, adventures, animal stories Christian fiction and science fiction.
- Juvenile Non-Fiction~True books for ages 9 to 13. Science Fair topics, cookbooks, creepy crawlies, and how-to-draw are all found here.
Young Adult is an area of the library just for teens 12 to 18. Books and other materials in this section have also been specially chosen for age appropriate reading. Check out the Teen Zeen for more young adult programs and events.
